Product Details
When our little one started ballet classes, I wanted to design a knitted wrap that had no seams, to make it as comfortable as possible to be worn for dancing. This wrap is worked bottom up, with the body in one piece, and sleeves initially worked separately. Sleeves are worked in the round, then joined at the armhole, then the whole piece is completed as one, with raglan decreases.
Front edge and neckband trims are made using a grafted i-cord, with i-cord ties. The ties can be made in traditional wrap-around style, with a side opening to pass the tie through, or with short ties, more suitable if making the smaller sizes.
The wrap is designed to fit closely and sit in at the high waist, so you may prefer to size up for casual wear.
The pattern is of intermediate difficulty, with grafted i-cord edging, and vertical buttonhole for ties.
