Product Details
The “Tausendschön Mittens” are knitted in the round on double pointed needles and fit a hand circumference between 18,5 cm – 21 cm. The model on the photos has a hand circumference of 18,5 cm. When designing these mittens, I took into account the anatomical shape of the hand in terms of the different finger slopes and the slightly inward offset thumb.
Yarn: 250 grams Jamieson´s of Shetland Spindrift (25 g/ 105 m) - 10 different colors (also enough for the “Tausendschön Hat”, for the pattern please see my designer page)
Skill level: for advanced knitters
Size: one size - 26,5 cm length x 9,5 cm width (size M)
Techniques used: knit, purl, yarn over needle, knit 2 stitches together, stranded colorwork knitting with 2 colors at the same time, pick up stitches, knitting on double pointed needles
The 12 page pattern contains nice photos, a knitting technique tutorial, knitting instructions with explanatory photos and clear colored charts separately for the left and the right mitten.
