Product Details

The skirt is started with a provisional cast on, then worked flat sideways in order to produce vertical stripes. The flare is enhanced with short rows worked along the hem edge. The back seam is grafted, then stitches are picked up along the top edge and worked in the round in a k1, p1 rib to form the casing for the elastic. The skirt is finished by picking up stitches along the hem edge, which are then worked in the round to form the ruffle.

The bodice is worked flat sideways in one piece. Shoulder seams are sewn, then stitches are picked up around the armhole edge, after which the sleeves are worked in the round towards the elbow, ending with a ruffle.

The stomacher is worked flat from the bottom up, shaped with paired increases. and fastened to the bodice with snaps.

This pattern has been tested and tech edited.
