Textured Pops

Textured Pops is a great way to show off your variegated yarns against a solid background, without worrying about pooling. The tiny textured pops are created with simple increases and decreases, and add an amazing dimension, thickness, and squishiness to the fabric. The wrong side of the fabric has equally beautiful textured stripes. This asymmetric triangle shawl starts at one corner and can be knit as small or as large as you’d like, or until you run out of yarn!

Yarn: The pattern uses about 695 yds (635 m) yds of fingering weight yarn: 420 yds (384 m) for the main color, and 275 yds (251 m) for the contrast color. Select a background color that is solid or tonal and will allow the textured pops to… well… pop! against it! The contrast color can be as variegated as you’d like!

1. This pattern is easily modifiable for different yardages and yarn weights: simply knit until desired length!
2. Yarns are carried up the side without cutting when not in use.
