Product Details
The Berry Patch Sweater is a child’s sweater inspired by berry picking in the summer--though when you go berry picking with kids, not many berries make it home! It’s made out of fingering yarn to be a lightweight sweater, and has a ‘patch of berries’ running down the shoulders and arms.
It is a modified drop shoulder construction that is knit from the bottom up. The main body is knit with seed stitch (or moss stitch if you’re from the UK) and the saddle shoulder uses the blackberry stitch to create the ‘berry’ look.
This pattern is Intermediate in difficulty. Stitches include: bobbles, ktbl, k2tog, k3tog, p3tog, p2tog, p2tog tbl, ssk, and ssp. All techniques are explained in the pattern, except for picking up stitches.
