Product Details
I named this pattern “Crown Stitch” because the lacy part between groups of dcs reminded me of the royal symbol – the crown.
This garment is designed to fit tightly to the body and point out your curves. Crocheted clothes stretch when worn, so in case you wish the dress to be very tight, choose to crochet one size smaller than your usual size.
The dress is worked in the rounds, with 10 repeats of the pattern. The Crown Stitch is worked on 14 sts, and this part of the pattern doesn’t include increases. However, to shape the dress in the hip area and under bust, increases are necessary. The increases are worked in the part of the pattern with dc groups by working 2dc together in the middle of each dc group.
Since the “crown” pattern of this dress is quite transparent, I recommend lining the dress. This tutorial doesn’t have instructions for lining. Optionally, you can buy a light, short dress with low back and deep cleavage to wear beneath.
