Product Details
Knit side to side and then picked-up stitches to work the simple diamond lace pattern, this asymmetrical shawlette is a fun knit and VERY doable by any knitter (with a bit of experience).
The body of the shawl alternates garter-stitch stripes while increasing on the bottom edge and then decreasing for the opposite end. This creates an asymmetrical triangle with a long, slender end and a wider oppposite.
The lace edge is an easy garter-stitch based motif with yo's and ssk/k2tog to create a sweet diamond edge. The Diamond Edging is charted and written out line by line.
The shawlette can be worn multiple ways ... adding to the overall fun of the design.
The design needs approx 250 yards MC; 150 yards CC (I used just shy of a full skein of Spring Gate's Cashmere/Bamboo blend for the CC).
