Product Details
The Nutcracker, a beautiful hand carved gift from Clara's Godfather – the magician and toymaker Drosselmeyer – is accidentally broken whilst the children play. Clara is devastated!
When the party is over and the guests gone, Clara creeps quietly back to the Christmas tree and finds her beloved Nutcracker. She takes a ribbon from her dress to use as a bandage with which she mends her broken toy. Suddenly the clock chimes midnight and the Nutcracker begins to grow...
The Nutcracker is a seamless toy, knit 'in the round', the uniform skirt, beard and moustache are worked separately and sewn in place once the doll is complete.
