I love the two-toned yarn colours to give the blanket a modern edge, but you could always create your own tonal patterns or make the blanket using a block colour.
I prefer using 100% wool but it would be cheaper to make this in acrylic super chunky wool. But remember, higher quality yarns will ensure the longevity of your blanket, making it a beautiful keepsake.
The Winter Days Baby Blanket pattern can be also adjusted to be cot sized if you add a few stitches to the width and length to create your desired cot dimensions - the pattern included tips to do this.
