Product Details
When you want a shawl you can mix and match, Thebarton is a go-to choice! Not only can you knit it out of a fingering or DK weight yarn, but you can apply optional tassels and the simple texture is great for both playing with colour or keeping things neutral.
The samples were made with Bendigo Woollen Mills Luxury 4ply (fingering weight version) and Cleckheaton Australian Superfine Merino (DK weight version). A suggested substitute DK weight yarn is shown below.
You will need 745m (814yds)/207g of fingering weight yarn if you wish to knit that version:
626m (684yds)/174g of MC (583m [637yds]/162g for the shawl body, 43m [47yds]/12g for the tassels), and 119m (130yds)/33g of CC, or extra MC if you are making a one-colour version (as for sample).
