Product Details

Explore some simple stitches to create a beautiful, functional wrap. Worked in Tunisian crochet, the wrap has both weight and texture. I wanted to design something that was relatively straight forward, so that I could enjoy the rhythm of the stitches without constantly referring to the pattern, but that included an interesting range of Tunisian stitches. The wrap is based on a grid pattern, worked in one piece. The squares in the pattern are made using Arrowhead stitch and Bobbles on a Tunisian Simple stitch ground. The Honeycomb stitch border allows the wrap to drape without curling at the edges. For added interest, I used a Scheepjes Whirl in Slice O’ Cherry Pie with contrast Whirlettes in Kiwi. The colour is changed after each forward pass, so the yarn is not cut, meaning very few ends to sew in. The size can be easily changed - make more repeats, or add additional rows of honeycomb at the top/bottom edges (but you would need more yarn).
