Product Details
When I first developed the desire to combine colorwork with lace I went on line to research how to do it, eager to learn a new technique. But all of my searches came up empty, it wasn’t something that was done. I could have left it at that, taken no for an answer but instead I began dreaming up ways to make it happen. This is how mosaic lace came to be.
This pattern features a stylized representation of wings meant to evoke the lazy W you drew as a child dreaming and doodling. They frame a very simple mosaic lace motif that will easily introduce you to this fun technique.
You will need equal amounts of both colors, just under 400 yards each. The pattern instructions can be worked entirely from the written or in a combination of written and chart.
