This garland is considered upcycled because you crochet your stars over top of a one inch plastic ring that can easily be found just below the lid of a standard sized water bottle.
This pattern uses chains, single crochets, double crochets and triple crochets. The written instructions are included in the pattern for executing the triple crochet. There is also a link included to a step-by-step photo tutorial for how to crochet around a plastic ring.
