Product Details
A curious and simple little hat with great potential for embellishment! I chose crochet chains and feathers for my ties, but you can do anything you like. This hat is knit inside-out to avoid doing tons of purling but still get that tidy, reverse stockinette one-row stripe. Between stripes, carry the yarns on the outside of the work instead of inside. (Tip- If you don't twist the yarns when you're changing from one to the other at the end of the round, the jog will look a nicer.) Finished hat is approximately 21 inches around and fits a 22 inch head comfortably with room to stretch.
Two skeins of 100g of dk/light worsted weight yarn should be plenty- I definitely didn't use the whole skein of either color.
The sample was knit with Tilli Thomas Disco Lights (now discontinued). A substitute yarn is shown below.
