I was impressed with Valley Yarns Northampton. I usually always buy Marino wool but thought that I would try this wool as the reviews sad that it was soft and I have to agree with them. It also knits beautifully with good stitch definition.
very nice to knit with and looks good
I'm using this yarn for a cable knit project and so far it's knitting up really beautifully. It has just the right amount of stitch definition and it's just as soft as I hoped. (My photo doesn't reflect the colour very well, the shop images are quite accurate)
nice, affordable wool! lovely colour
Very happy with the wool and the price
The yarn is exactly what I expected. It is a typical worsted weight and knits up that way. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality in that there is very little unraveling and this is important when increasing and decreasing stitches.
I am knitting a hat the wool is great to knit with and I would buy it again
Debbie bliss Cotton denim dk is great ! Cotton yarn that doesn’t hurt while you knit like some cotton yarns which are rough. This one is soft and works up beautifully. I’m making a large knitted blanket, lightweight with size 6 needles. 24 stitches =5” Nice feel and look.
Good value, good range of colors. Knits up well. Yarn is thin. It's rough to the touch, so I usually soak it in Eucalan or similar before blocking. (If the pattern can be adapted to it, I'd highly recommend the heavier Valley Yarn Berkshire instead.)
Really enjoy working with this yarn.
