Product Details

The perfect every day cardigan to gallivant in the garden. This design was inspired by the neat, freshly-tilled rows of a vegetable garden. The textured stripe pattern is fun and intuitive to work and makes for an addictive knit! This garment is knit seamlessly from the top down. A few short rows at the back neck ensure a well-fitting neckline. The yoke is worked flat using raglan increases then sleeve stitches are put on hold while the body of the cardigan is worked in one piece. The sleeve stitches are then worked in the round. Stitches are picked up along the garment’s fronts to work the button bands.

SKILLS REQUIRED: Working short rows (explained in pattern / link to video tutorial), casting on, knitting, purling, increasing, decreasing, knitting in the round, yarn over, picking up stitches, binding off.

Gauge: 24 sts x 32 rows = 4 inches or 10 cm in stockinette stitch
