Velvet Cake is a quick and engaging knit for the people out there who love a good thick worsted yarn, garter stitch, and a smattering of squishy brioche. Ideal for using a fabulous skein of worsted that’s not quite enough for a bigger project, this cowl marries interesting and simple. You’ll find it’s an excellent gift knit, but you might decide to keep it when it’s finished!
This comes in one finished size. If you get gauge right on, it should measure 14 by 9 inches. Gauge is flexible in this pattern and you can easily add or subtract repeats to change the finished dimensions to your liking.
You will need aran yarn in two different colors, at least 150 yards of each.
