“The best way of waiting is the anticipation” (Thomas Romanus) ““Vorfreude” is the German word for anticipation and there are many possibilities for anticipation … anticipation of an occasion, a season … or knitting a shawl and finally wearing it!*
“Vorfreude” is knit sideways in garter stitch and stockinette stitch, with increases and decreases and gives you the opportunity to create your own anticipation in your four favourite colours.
Pattern contains written instructions and a schematic.
Pattern contains also a helpful addition for fingering weight yarn (gauge 20 sts), but please note it´s NO part of the pattern!
The total yardage in sport weight yarn is 851 m / 931 yds.
Gauge is 17 sts x 40 rows in garter stitch before blocking.
