Classic Métis style voyageur hat. A functional warm hat – the tail was used to carry small light objects. How handy is that?
This is knitted flat and seamed but it's an ideal candidate for knitting in the round if you should so choose.
Materials: Patons Astra light weight [3] yarn, 50g ball 147m/161 yds or any DK weight wool blend which would be ideal. One size Adult: 2 balls MC [silver grey mix]; 1 ball CC [cardinal] Finished hat weighs 92 grams including tassel. Straight knitting needles: 3.75mm and 4mm
