Product Details
Wallace Island Marine Park is one of my favourite anchorages in the Gulf Islands of BC. The ocean winds can be chilly though, so be sure to bring along this cozy hat as you explore the island. Made with worsted weight wool, it combines a fancy rib with the brioche stockinette stitch. The textures are unusual enough to keep you interested, but not so complicated that you can’t knit them in the company of friends!
Materials Required:
150 metres / 165 yards of worsted weight yarn. Sample was made with Patons Classic Wool in Amaranth. For a similar look, try Cascade 220 in Heather, or Valley Yarns Northampton in Raspberry Heather.
3.75 mm / US 5 and 4.5 mm / US 7 circular needles, 40 cm / 16 inches in length.
If you have a larger head (like me!), try working the brim on a 4mm/US 6 needle instead of the 3.75/US 5.
