Product Details
Waterlily is a patchwork effect blanket consisting of 48 individually knitted mitred squares which have been stitched together & embellished with separately worked floral motifs. I have knitted my blanket using Stylecraft Special DK yarn in soft shades of green but any of your favourite toning colours would work equally well. Alternatively, to highlight the contrasting stitch textures within the design, the blanket could just as effectively be knitted in a single colour if preferred.
Measurements: The completed blanket (including edging) measures approximately 39 ins x 48 ins (99 cms x 122 cms) but could be made larger or smaller as liked by changing the number of squares used.
Stitches & techniques used: Knit; Purl; Slipping sts; Knitting sts together.
