Product Details
This striking, triangular, modular constructed shawl is worked in garter stitch and the result looks equally fabulous on males as females. This versatile accessory can be worn as a neck scarf with the triangle at the front, or as a cover up shawl over the shoulders. The pattern takes between 50g and 100g of three colours of 4ply yarn (sock yarn is perfect) and works as a great stash buster.
Garter stitch modules (squares and triangles) are worked and knitted together using the pick up and knit technique. The edges of the modules have an effective but simple picot eyelet lace pattern and the finished edges of the shawl use a pick up and knit followed by a classic picot bind off.
The pattern was inspired by the shadows, textures and colours created by the trees on my favourite dog walk hence it's name, the Weimwood Shawl.
