Product Details

This is a pattern for a light and lacy stole. The feature stitch comes to us from Japan, and is a very unique twist and lace stitch. It also contains smocking.

This stole can be knitted with heavy fingering weight yarn and/or sport weight yarn. The stole is approximately 17 inches x 72 inches, but can be altered as state below, and, as shown, requires approximately 800 - 1000 yards. There are instructions for knitting an 8 inch scarf and a 25 inch shawl.

The stitches are charted ONLY.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a very good working knowledge of lace knitting.)

There are also instructions for an optional crocheted border, should you want it edged.

Any heavy weight fingering yarn or sport weight yarn will work for this pattern. No crochet hooks needed, if you don't want to edge the stole. This stole was knit with Handmaiden's/Fleece Artists wonderful Casbah yarn. I love it.
