I calseti, aka Your Basic Gym SocksThis pattern has been inspired by the classic gym red striped-white socks. It gave me the chance of coming up with a very easy to follow construction in two variants (top-down or toe-up) which can be used and customised as your first knitted socks. The afterthought heel featured in the pattern is probably the easiest heel in the world. The body of the socks has a simple but effective game of knits and purls, which gives outstanding comfort and elasticity. The name ‘i calseti’ is the Venetian word for basic socks. Hope you enjoy!
