Product Details
The Zephirine Tunic was originally designed for Issue #50 of Knit Now Magazine. For this design, I wanted a breezy summer top, and what could be breezier than a zephyr. Zephrine, being a French feminine form of zephyr, suits this lightweight and casually elegant top.
The Zephirine Tunic is worked flat, in pieces, from the bottom up, and seamed. It features a square neck at the front and a V at the back. The sleeves are slightly unusual in that they are open at the shoulder, and so, in order to work them each in one piece, the underarm (and the sleeve-cap shaping) is located in the centre of the piece. The sleeve cap, split in half, forms the outside edges of each sleeve piece until it is set in place.
