ABOUT THE PATTERN
The Zig Zag Hat uses knits, purls and basic 2-stitch cables to zig and zag. This hat is a fun twist using one of the cables from my Neve Cowl. The five sizes use the same number of cast on stitches and follow the same directions – the only difference is the gauge of the yarn used and the number of beginning ribbing rows completed!

To Fit: 15 (17, 19, 21, 23)” [38 (43.25, 48.25, 53.25, 58.5) cm] head circumference
Finished Measurements: 13.75 (16, 17.5, 19.25, 21.25)” [35 (40.5, 44.5, 49, 54) cm] circumference
MATERIALS
Yarn: 100 yds [95 m] Fingering (110 yds [100 m] Sport, 130 yds [120 m] DK, 140 yds [130 m] Worsted, 160 yds [150 m] Aran)
Needles: 16” [40 cm] circular and dpns, suggested needle size varies by weight of yarn used. See pattern for details.
Notions: 8 markers (one of them unique), dpn or cn for cables, tapestry needle
