Bright Winter is an exploration of slipped stitches.
This is a semi circular shawl with an extended wingspan to engulf yourself in and be comfortable. Wrapped around your shoulders, two colour brioche will give you extra warmth with its lush texture. The lace border gives it an intricate finish and can easily be blocked into a scalloped edge or kept in a round shape.
Repeats for stitches and rows are kept short to make Bright Winter a fun and relaxing knit while creating lots of texture. The pattern includes written instructions and charts. All techniques like I-cord edging/ bind off and grafting are explained in detail and links to video tutorials for the Brioche sections are included. If you find Scandinavian or Fair Isle knitting physically challenging, slipped stitches are a great alternative. The colour work only uses one strand of yarn/colour at a time.
