Pattern for a basic close-fitting beanie in 7 sizes, to fit a newborn baby right up to adult size, plus instructions to make it into either a dog or a cat hat. There are 2 styles of ears for the dog, 3 ideas for cat faces, and different sizes of pattern for noses and ears to fit the size of beanie you are making. Also a choice of 2 simple hem styles.
This is a written pattern for a hat made on 2 needles with a back seam. The basic hat pattern is the same for either the cat or the dog and can also be used as a simple stocking stitch beanie pattern without the animal features.
Use your choice of any smooth DK/8 ply yarn: between 25 and 65 gms main colour,depending on size.
