Product Details
Knitting pattern for a Jeep Cap, (Radar's Hat from the TV show M*A*S*H*) Remember M*A*S*H* and the hat Radar O'Reilly wore? This cute variation on the beanie was originally designed by the US Army for WWII to be worn under their metal helmets. This version is knitted in the round and a bill stiffener is inserted into the folded brim to create the bill or visor. It can be knit in fingering, DK/Sport, or worsted weight yarns. Instructions are given for all three! Choose the needle size that corresponds to your chosen yarn. This pattern is in American English. Print at 100% scale on Letter or A4 paper. The PDF Instructions are eight pages including photos and a pattern for the bill stiffener. Knitting skills needed: Stockinette stitch, ribbing stitch, knitting in the round, and how to decrease.
