This cute variation on the beanie was originally designed by the US Army for WWII to be worn under their metal helmets. This version is knitted in the round and a bill stiffener is inserted into the folded brim to create the bill or visor. It can be knit in fingering, DK/Sport, or worsted weight yarns. Instructions are given for all three! Choose the needle size that corresponds to your chosen yarn. This pattern is in American English. Print at 100% scale on Letter or A4 paper.
