I love Mary Janes tearoom bears and this is an 8inch version which is really sweet. The hat is a free pattern which I decided to add. The face is always the part that gives me most problems!
She is adorable Dianne and her face is perfect. I've just finished two more I'm quite hooked on them. I'm going to look at the ears on my next one though as I can see you've sewn them together differently which makes them deeper and stand up from the head which I think adds to the cuteness. 😃
Oh Dianne, your little bear is just adorable, her face is so cute and as for her hat! It’s the sweetest thing ever. It’s the kind of little bear you want to keep in your pocket safe in the knowledge that you know it’s there and nobody else does, and you can’t take it out and give it cuddles and tiny kisses xx. She is so beautifully knitted Dianne x💕
Thanks for your lovely comments Alison, 😊 I think I’ll take it out of my wardrobe now and put it on a shelf! I love knitting the tiny clothes for these bears, for me that’s the best part!
Lovely bear - face it so sweet. I know what you mean about getting the faces looking good. I have this pattern and sat for nearly an hour trying to give it a cute face and decided that the first try was probably the best!!
@Dianne S: yes I think we are Dianne. Definitely no criticism meant on my part though. I just thought he’d look so cuddly and cosy with a jacket or cardi. 🧸
Aww I love your wee bear Dianne and his face is gorgeous (if you had trouble with it, it certainly doesn't show). I really wish I could knit there are so many lovely toys to make 😊
Thanks Catherine, I only got his nose and mouth looking reasonable after four attempts! 😂 I think I prefer knitting the cute clothes. I wish I could crochet, I watched a you tube video but thought it very confusing!
Oh he is lovely Dianne, the colours are lovely and how cute is his wee face. I wondered which bear you were making. Now for another wee toy or a cushion decisions, decisions.😊💓
Thanks Michelle, it’s a nice pattern but I think he looks a bit like a mouse! 😂 I think I might try a bit of cross stitch for a wee while as my arm is complaining a bit. How is your wrist and your diamond dot coming on?
@Dianne S: I think he looks lovely Dianne, put him on the shelf for the day and when you go back and look at him I'm sure you will be happy. I do agree we are our own worse critics. 😉Nope tried to do a wee bit of knitting last night, yep I know but I had finished Diamond dot, but it just ached and ached. I think it is coming from my upper arm. That will be fun to do some cross stitch, there are some beautiful kits available now. I would have to do a printed one those counted ones need too much patience.lol. take care.💓💓
