    Beschreibung

    My son was born premature and I felt like I needed to do something. So my mother (I roped her in) and I knitted a bunch of preemie hats, then I saw this adorable pattern and decided to knit them to go with the preemie hats. So hopefully the babies can have a hat and a toy.

    Also when I am invited to a baby shower I knit one as present and say it is a gift to the baby from my son.

    Cast on 40sts

    * 1 – 10 Rows: Knit 10 rows (for border)

    then

    * Odd Rows: Knit

    11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31, 33, 35, 37, 39, 41, 43, 45, 47, 49, 51

    and

    * Even Rows: S1, k5, purl to last 6sts, k6

    12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50

    * 51 – 61 Rows: Knit 10 rows (for border)

    * Cast off
