    Beschreibung

    Ive been wanting to make a tortoise for a while now (search me - idk why). Toft did a turtle but it wasn’t quite what I wanted - and then I found Walter! It was quite a challenge - some of it was fiddly. The shell is made of 10 hexagons crocheted together which was quite tricky, and there was lots of counting involved as accuracy is important, but it was a satisfying project to complete. Every home should have one!

    I decided to omit the contrasting toenails. I thought they were too big and didn’t look right

      Oh how cool is this wee man, I love the way you crocheted his shell it makes them stand out and look like a real one. It's so cute
      at the beginning of the photos he was standing up and then the last few he is sitting down exhausted. 😉Oh and excuse me where is Mungo do him and the tortoise not get on.lol.😂

        Aw thanks Michelle. I was pleased with how the shell turned out. It took its shape naturally once all the hexagons were crocheted together but I tried to get a ball of stuffing in each one to help it along.
        I’ve added a pic of Flash with Mungo especially for you 😊
