    Beschreibung

Made with Willow & Lark nest in colour Rose.
    Lovely yarn to knit with.
I have now finished the cardigan.
The lace border is worked from a chart and it nearly put me off using this pattern.
However it wasn't too bad as it was my first attempt.
Admittedly I had to unpick it a few times but got there in the end.
Will definitely use the pattern and yarn again.
The cardigan is a lovely classic/vintage style.

      Hi Cheyenne
The middle of the border chart is where the front sections come together for the buttonband.
I made size 4-5 years, so at the side edges I left the 3 stitches and started the holes after that.
So on row 9 of left front I knit 3, yfwd, K2tog to avoid the holes on the side seams.
For the middle I did make the holes so row 1 left front K1, yfwd, sl1,K1,psso
The middle of the chart represents K1 or P1 for both sides of the front.
I didn't notice Cheyenne but I think they have marked the fronts incorrectly.
I worked them the other way, so I replicated the back.
I knitted front left as front right and it looked fine.
Genuinely think the pattern is wrong.
I can't wait to see the finished cardigan😀

Thank you so much for talking about the way the fronts are marked. I have been driving myself crazy over it.Im now doing the same as you just replicating the back. Thanks for all your input, really appreciate the discussion. will now move on to finishing it up. hope to post it soon

I seem to have done the same reversing the left and right fronts. As you say I think the pattern is wrong. Your cardigan is beautifully made Jeanette. My knitting history sounds much the same as yours. Amazing what happens when you get grandkids. 😂

Im working on the front parts. the left front is giving me a headache as the numbers on the left tell me i read from left to right rather than right to left as normal....how did you do it.....im finding the right front ends at the middle of the pattern with the large holes which seems stupid because you have to join that to the back........oh my what i thought would be such a simple pattern.....is not hahaah

        @Cheyenne B:
I struggled with this at first but it's just a decrease, in that you sl1,k1,psso or K2tog but aren,t doing a yfwd so you lose 2 sts
The blank squares represent this the lost stitches
You decrease again on row 29
Get back to me if you are still struggling.
If it's any consolation I had to unpick mine as I didn't understand this section.
