I’ve been inspired by some of my fellow knitters who have made socks. How difficult can it be?
I have learnt
Twisted cable rib - 1x1 rib = k1 through back of stitch) p1
Kitchener stitch - sometimes called grafting - when you want to join two unfinished pieces together like toe of sock or sometimes gloves, giving seamless appearance:)
First you cut yarn giving a long tail, you thread onto blunt sewing needle then -
1 - place 2 pieces reverse sides together (2 parallel rows)
2 - push sewing thread through k wise through front stitch pull off then p through second (do not pull stitch off)
3 - p through first stitch back row and pull off needle
4 - k through second (do not pull stitch off)
Repeat above until all stitches bound off then tidy off end.
