    It was (finally!) snowing for the first time last week, temperatures fell below zero, my ears got cold, and it was suddenly clear what the gorgeous winter yarn I recently bought wanted to become: a hat.

    I don’t usually wear hats, because I never figured out what to do with my hair. But now I’ll give the slouchy beany style a try, let’s see if I can get to like it. No fancy elements that would be obscured by the variegated colourway, just a few bold cables and some texture.
