Looks lovely! How did you manage to match the sleeve stripes to the body stripes with the variegated yarn?

Thank you. I just started with the same colour at the beginning of each piece. I did have to fiddle with where the yellow finished to match the other sleeve or front

The dark of the button band goes really well!
Are you starting a 2nd 'March challenge' cardi?

Not sure how long this one wil ltake me - it needs to be ready before they go camping at Easter which isn't until April this year. I'll see how I go - I'll try for the end of March!

Oh wow you have finished. Looks fabulous, I didn't get much time to knit over the weekend because I had my grandson here and we went out last night.

I'm trying to get at least one garment done for each grandchild for winter! A weekend with grandkids is always fun

@Sandra A: I would have to knit 11 jumpers if I did that and the two eldest are in adlt sizes

@Jennifer M: I have six who are six and under in age and started with the three smallest! I guess I should manage it. Do you still knit for the adult size ones?

@Sandra A: No I don't knit for the older ones, they don't want hand knitted jumpers. They will probably change their minds when they are a bit older. I have 15, 14, four 11, 7, 4, two 2 and 1 year old. Mostly knit for the younger ones

Beautiful cardigan Sandra,💕very pretty, Poppy will love it.💕 The buttons finish it off beautifully.
I’ve seen raglan shaping & set in sleeves in one pattern before 🤫

I finished Poppy's rainbow cardigan with different coloured buttons. The armhole shaping that gave me so much trouble was raglan then set in from half way up - no wonder I couldn't figure it out!

After much rereading of the pattern, underlining and counting rows I think I have the armhole shaping and section to the shoulders matching for the back and the front of this cardigan

Thank you Elaine. I thought the section from armhole to neck looked a bit short, but I think it's just a long cardigan. The instructions only give shaping and numbers of rows - I prefer measurements to know I'm on track. I checked it against a two year old cardigan and the arm depth looks fine against that.

@Sandra A: i think it looks short because it is a set in sleeves rather then a raglan? 😊

@Elaine C: I added a few more rows to the back before the shoulder shaping and will adjust the front pieces and sleeves - just to be sure. The pattern isn't easy to follow, so I added up the total number of rows in the pattern from the armhole.

Oh this is going to be so pretty Sandra, I haven't seen that wool before. I really like the way the bands are done too in the stocking stitch and rib.😊

I made a start on Poppy's rainbow cardi last night. I got far enough to see a stripe of each colour! I decided on a purple I had for the bands.

HI Sandra have looked at the pattern again and there is (for me) a lot of concentration in lace panel. I see that the others will choose different patterns so I may revise my pattern choice also. Is this ok
