    Beschreibung

This lace shawl was crocheted in one piece from corner-to-corner. The Body consisted of a 2-row Cross-stitch lace pattern while the Border was simultaneously worked in an 8-row Greek Key filet crochet mesh.

For the First Corner, stitches were gradually increased until the desired Shawl depth was achieved. The Body then commenced and, through the use of smaller stitches at the neck edge, the piece began to gently curve to produce a crescent-like silhouette. Finally, the Second Corner was made by gradually decreasing stitches to taper down the fabric. Based on the simple patterning, it was easy to memorize both the Body and Border patterns after a few repeats.

I used Jazz Handz Color Change Gradient and worked the 1st ball from the inside-out. Then, to create a mirrored color effect, I cut the last color from the 2nd ball and proceeded to work the second ball from the outside-in. Once completed, I wet blocked the entire piece to set the stitches. I’m thrilled with it!
