Just a couple of little projects after completing a large one. Used up some leftover yarn from my beanie I made yesterday (and I still have some left!) The hairband I whipped up myself after seeing a picture of something like it.
Row 1- chainless 60 foundation half treble, joined in the round.
Round 2 - Chain 2, half treble in each of the 60, slip stitch into top of the chain 2.
Round 3 - chain 2, half treble in the first 20 stitches. Then do a chainless 21 foundation half trebles. Skip 20 stitches. Pass this under the bottom of the band and realign with other side. Yarn round hook, Put hook through bottom loop of last foundation half treble then through the 40th stick on main headband. Half treble to end. Slip stitch into top of 2 chain.
Round 4- chain 2, half treble in each stitch round and slip stitch into top of chain 2.
Hope this makes sense, I’ve never written out a pattern before. This fits an adults head, but can be adjusted to a child’s, just crochet the length needed to fit round head and just take a third of the stitches for the decoration. And add 1 to the extra foundation half treble.
@Kazsly: no problem. I learnt it only recently and makes a huge difference to starting projects. I learnt from the Bella coco YouTube video for it. Once you know the basics you can change it to any stitch to start. Makes a really stretchy base band for hats as well!
