    A couple of years ago I made Tubs the bear in eyelash yarn and vowed never again, it was such a nightmare sewing him up. Somehow I seem to have done it again, as I am anxious to use up all the eyelash and faux fur yarns in my stash. It was still as much of a nightmare, so Tubs will not be going to charity or a Bazaar. Instead he has joined the other bears on my shelf. It’s getting a bit squashed, but I still have ideas for more sometime.

        Thank you Elaine. Yes, the shelf is getting rather full but they are all good pals so don’t mind cuddling up. 😂😂🥰🥰

        Thanks for those lovely comments Linzi.🥰🥰 I don’t blame you for avoiding the eyelash yarn. The bears all seem to be good pals on my shelf apart from two which were presents and not knitted. They keep themselves to themselves at the far end of the shelf. I think I shall have to find them a place of their own, then I will have room to make some more! 😂😂

      Thank you Michelle for your kind comments about Tubs. ☺️☺️ I must say I fell in love with him despite the trouble I had. 🥰 I think I have to resign myself to not being able to make such a perfect job as I’d like when sewing up furry animals. And trimming the fur around his eyes wasn’t a great idea either as I managed to cut the knitting!!! So his eyes get a bit lost in the fur, but they sparkle for me so that’s not a problem. But if he were to be given to a child there would be a high risk of them extracting one of the eyes hence I deemed him unfit for a charity donation. 🙈 As you say he’s quite happy on the shelf and the other bears aren’t complaining. 💕💕💕

      Ohh Helen I put my hands over wee Tubs ears so he wouldn't hear what you were saying.😉😉he is absolutely gorgeous look at his wee fat belly, cheeky face and gorgeous vest. Well all his new friends think he is very cute and have made room for him on the shelf.😉😉😂😂I agree eyelash yarn is hard work and yes I have some in my stash, will I use it up probably not.lol😊😊💕💕

        Thank you Mary. It’s what I’d call a motley collection. 😂 it includes my earliest attempts at making teddies and needless to say I ‘could have done better’, but I can’t part with any of them. 🥰

      Helen, he made me smile. He is just gorgeous. Worth all the effort, It is terrible yarn to work with especially if you drop a stitch.

        Thanks so much Jennifer. Yes it’s so slippery and you can’t see the stitches easily but you get away with a lot because the ‘eyelashes’ hide all the sewing up, which must look dreadful. I gave up trying to do neat stitches and just made sure I joined two sides together. 🙈
