I had some lovely Sirdar Jewelspun aran yarn in Nordic Noir left over from another project so I used that. It looked so much like dusk that I decided to make the sky the feature and added a moon (crocheted on a magic circle round and round, then appliqued on with blanket stitch in the same yarn), and stars. The stars were particularly helpful to cover up minor mistakes! I left off the leaves from the pattern as I felt they were too few and were out of proportion, and the moon and stars had added enough interest, I also added stars to the back.
