Learned a lesson here. Though everybody loves this the fleck in the wool, especially at the smallest size makes it difficult to recognize the patterns clearly. The hedgehog buttons were a great find.
Enjoyed making pom poms. I haven't done this since school days!
I'm making this again for another baby with Silver grey Paintbox yarn and the shapes are more easily recognised.
Beautiful knitting. I’m an experienced knitter but I’m struggling with the diagrams. Knitting the cardigan but really can’t figure out the stitches sitting outside grid at the start of odd rows and end of even rows. Can you help me out please. Susan
@Pamela B: Hello Pamela, it's the woodland friends pattern. I was knitting the cardigan and was following the instructions for the back. It didn't specify which grid to follow so I was using the border one for the side. I was confused about the stitches outside the pattern grid at the beginning of the odd numbered rows and end of even numbered rows. I would be glad if you could point out what I seem to be doing wrong. Susan

I completely understand, I also had the same problem. I actually plotted the pattern onto an excel spreadsheet so the back was balanced. it's a lot easier if you are able to do this as you can easily see how it will look when knitted and adjust if it doesn't look right. I found it difficult to follow the diagram as well.
Beautiful set. That is something to think about using a fleck yarn, it looks like all your lovely work showes up in the picture, but i can see what you mean about it being clearer.
