Lion Brand Homespun is a wonderful acrylic, Polyster yarn with a textured ripple. It's a chunky weight yarn, but it knits and crochets very lightly and because of the ripple finish, the simplest stitch looks fantastic! A wonderful crochet yarn, this is perfect for blankets and shawls, and there are so many colours to choose from! Solid, classic colours, some beautiful heathered shades and Lion Brand's "painterly" shades, which are variegated blends of colour that subtly self stripe as you knit or crochet. Knits up on 6mm needles or a 6.5mm hook.

I use the Lion Brand Homespun yarn almost exclusively for my knitting projects. It’s soft, it’s acrylic (so not allergy inducing), washable, and absolutely lovely!! The picture I included is the Lagoon yarn. I’m still working on my current project with this new yarn.

I have used a double strand lion brand homespun for years in quick and easy afghans that are super comfy and cozy. I prefer a double crochet with a size Q hook. The picture is of part of my “Giant Scarf Collection .”
I have been using lion brand products for a very long time and I do quite a bit of knitting. I love it and the options for color are really good. The only issue I have in writing this recommendation is that I understand that lion Brand as a company has Gone out of business. If I am wrong about that, please correct me.
