Colour work is optional, however BOTH written instructions AND charts are given for this.

Ability Level: Intermediate to Advanced
Materials required: One pair of size 14 (2.00 mm/US size 0) knitting needles, 135 metres/150 yds No 10 or No 12 crochet cotton in main colour (M), and 23 metres/25 yards contrast colour (C), 3 stitch holders or safety pins.
Finished size of dress
Neck to hem –.17 cm/7¾-inches. Across chest - 6.5 cm/2½-inches. Sleeve seam – 7 cm/3-inches
Gauge - worked over stocking/stockinette stitch: 5 rows = 1 cm and 5 stitches = 1 cm
