Produktdetails
The abutilon is a plant used to treat wounds. I was inspired by its color variations and simple shape. Using a variegated yarn will result in a zigzag pattern over the chevrons pointing in the opposite direction which stand out attractively against the dark background yarn.
The pattern is two color brioche stitch knitted in the round on a circular needle. I was intrigued to discover the decreases for this which are spread out over three successive rounds. This gradual shaping lies much flatter than other brioche decreases. They are also simpler due to being more similar to normal knitting decreases. I could not find any mention of a four stitch decrease in the round spread over three rounds so I devised my own and have called it a brioche central double decrease (brcdd). The instructions for this are in the pattern.
Charted and written instructions included. The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted.
