After designing two child Mermaid tail blankets, I was asked to up the pattern size to accommodate adults. This pattern comes in 5 adult sizes from XS to XL.
This tail is knit in the rounds and is completely seamless. It is designed with a cable pattern accompanied with the moss stitch. A very fun and rewarding knit!
This tail is knit with Red Heart Soft worsted weight yarn. However, any worsted weight yarn will work.
Gauge: 18 st = 4”; 24 rows = 4” in moss stitch 18 st = 4”; 24 rows = 4” in double rib stitch
Yardage: 1600 (1700, 1800, 1900, 2000) yards
You will also need a cable needle, tapestry needle and a ruler.
This pattern is written out and partially charted.
