Ahlie Fingerless Mitts

Ahlie fingerless mitts are snug and warm and I love to wear these over a simple black glove.  This pattern is worked from the cuff up and starts with a provisional cast on and folded stockinette cuff.  The Ahlie stitch pattern is worked on the front and back of the hand and the mitt ends with a folded stockinette tip.  The thumb is gusseted and is worked in stockinette stitch with a folded stockinette thumb tip. The pattern is worked in opposite directions on each mitt so that the mitts mirror each other.
