One of my favorite childhood books was “A is for Annabelle” by Tasha Tudor. As my mom would read the simple alphabet book over and over, I remember wishing that my grandmother had such an elegant doll with all of her fascinating accessories.

This sock pattern is was designed in reference to the part of book which talks about the doll’s parasol that is trimmed with lace. All Trimmed with Lace is knit toe-up with a parasol lace stitch pattern that runs up the front of the sock. The back is trimmed with your choice of lace hearts or flowers.

The pattern was written for a sock set, to use a contrast color for the cuffs, heels and toes; however this pattern is also the perfect canvas for a pair of scrappy socks.
