Keep the Alpine Cozy’s drawstring loose to wear it as a neck warmer; tighten it up to make it a hat! Stick your ponytail out or cinch the hat closed tight - so many options!
The pattern includes child and adult sizing. Using aran-weight yarn and mostly stockinette stitch, this is a quick knit. This is truly suitable for beginners.
Sizes Child size has a 16”/ 40 cm circumference and is 7”/ 17.5 cm high. Adult size has a 20”/ 50 cm circumference and is 10”/ 25 cm high
Gauge: 18 stitches and 24 rows = 4”/ 10 cm in stockinette stitch
Yarn: You will need approximately 75 (90) grams aran-weight yarn in the main color, plus a few grams contrast color for the pompoms.
Skills required: knit, purl, k2tog, ssk, yo, psso. The drawstring is a crochet chain but there are instructions in the pattern on how to do this if you aren’t familiar (really easy!); crochet skills are not required.
