Alzada – is asymmetrical triangular shawl, knitted from side to side. The garter stitch is alternated with eyelet stripe. The pointy edge gives the charm to the shawl. To the taste of the knitter the shawl could be knitted in plain color or in multiple colors. It could be shorter or longer. This shawl was made during my trip through South Dakota – one of the beautiful state to visit. The Black Hills, Devils Tower, Bad Lands and of cause Mountain Rushmore – just very little number of land marks will leave greatest memories forever. Unforgettable landscape of the prairies, hills, and canyons inspired me for this shawl.
